Fun times

We hate being away from our families but believe it or not we are having a great time here. We have made some awesome friends, our neighborhood is great, the weather is SO much easier to deal with, there are great places to visit and there is an ice cream man that comes to our neighborhood every night. I mean who wouldn't like all of that.

Chase was able to get the fence built this past week. He took two days off work last week to start it and finished it yesterday. It looks really good and, so far, it's kept the dog and children in. Granted we've only just started letting Trinity run free but she's doing well right now. Our friend, and neighbor, Tai helped Chase with a lot of it and Bev "supervised" while I painted slats and posts. And she got a tan while doing it. She's a multi-tasker. Thankfully the major rain held off until today so we could get all of it finished.

My car still doesn't work so Bev has been our hero and has taken the kids and I on whatever errands I need to run. I am so thankful that we met them. Not only are the great friends, they're just great people. They have really helped us out in more ways than I can ever describe. Anyway, she's been our hero and Justin will be our hero when he gets the chance to work on my car.

Last night we had a big cook-out with Bev, Justin, Tai and Gretta. Gretta is the newest member or our little group. She moved into the bottom apartment and the unit connecting to ours. She's awesome. She's not in the military but she works on Baumholder. She's actually an opera singer. We love Gretta. Anyway, we had a cook-out and a last get together before Tai goes back to the states. Chase made his awesome steaks, Gretta and I made green bean casserole, baked apricots and caesar salad and Tai smoked some ribs and brought those over. Needless to say, we ate really well last night. To top it all off, Chase made a fire in the fire pit and we made smores and chilled around the fire. I had to help Tai make his because he had never made one before. That was a first for me; teaching a grown man how to make a smore. Then Chase and Justin wanted to see what would happen if they put a bottle in the fire. So, after about 30 minutes we saw the bottle start melting and it was actually really cool to watch. Our pyromaniac men.

All in all, we have had a good week and weekend. There have been a few "set backs" but nothing major. Chase had a 3 day this weekend but, again, he is on standby. That happened the last time he had a 3 day so we weren't able to go anywhere. This time it wasn't so bad because Chase wanted to get the fence finished anyway. Oh, I forgot to mention that Chase has been moved to the metal shop for a few months. It's not a bad thing either. It will look really good on his EPR and he's been wanting to learn to do metal work. He's enjoying is so far and he said his supervisor there is really cool. Also, he won an award at his other shop because of his performance last month. Which, again, will look really good on his EPR. So props to my hubby.

I can't really remember anything else that's happened so I guess I'll end here. I hope everyone is doing well. Love to all.

Love is...

Everyone knows the biblical definition of love. Now I ask you, what is your personal definition? How would you define love? As you continue through life and live the different experiences life offers stop and ask yourself...what is love to you? For me, love is....

Love is pure

Love is innocent

Love is laughter

Love is tears

Love is family

Love is becoming a parent

Love is hearing your child's laughter

Love is drying your child's tears

Love is a blessing

Love is Holy

Love is God

These definitions come to mind as we have the pleasure of bringing not one but two new lives into this world. Coriell and Adam, becoming a parent is one of the greatest blessings God gives us and we are all so happy that He has given this blessing to you. We continue to pray for not only you but for the precious lives of the children Coriell is carrying. My love goes out all of you and pray this post finds you well. God Bless.
