Last week, we finally got the rest of our stuff. The first thing Chase did was put together our bed so we wouldn't have to sleep on that rock of a mattress anymore. I stayed at Bev's house with the kids so they would be out of the way. Chase was on stand-by that weekend so we didn't really go anywhere. Instead we made use of our time and unpacked and organized as much as we could. Luckily, Chase didn't get a stand-by at all so we were able to get a lot done. Unfortunately, we couldn't do too much with the living room, dining room or the spare room off of our room because FMO decided they weren't going to get the cheap furniture until this past Friday. So yeah, we were working around all of that and it was really difficult to arrange the room because we had stuff piled in every corner. We're still unpacking and organizing but we have made a lot of progress.
We didn't really do much this past week. Bev and I went to the chocolate factory Wednesday. It's awesome there. You can take a tour and they'll take you through the factory itself where they make the chocolate and other candy and then, when the tour is finished you can shop through the store. We haven't done the tour yet but we're planning on doing it eventually. This is the second time Bev and I have gone to the chocolate factory since we've lived in our house. And every time, it's fun.
The kids and I were at Bev's house all day Thursday. She had some doggy interviews and didn't want to be stuck in her house alone. So we kept her company. I took Kenna's exercauser and pack-n-play so the kids could nap at her house. We didn't really do much of anything except hang out and watch movies. I'll tell you what though, Kyan has become a big fan of "Snow Buddies". It has an Alaskan Husky puppy and Kyan thinks it's Trinity. So we'll walk into Bev's house and Kyan just goes, "Watch Trinity please? Watch Trinity?" It's so cute.
Friday, Bev came to our house. After the FMO guys picked up the furniture she helped me organize the kitchen and living room. She was a HUGE help. I'm so used to having my mom help me with that kind of stuff so it was kind of overwhelming to try and do it by myself. But, BEV TO THE RESCUE!!! We had dinner at her house that night. Justin grilled steaks and then we got some ice cream from the ice cream man. He comes by every night around 8:30 and it's some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Yummy goodness!!!
We spent most of the day Saturday working on the house and then we went to Bev and Justin's. Kyan and Kenna played in the pool for almost 2 hours and they both had a wonderful time. That was Kenna's first time in a pool and the fact that she was with Kyan made her love it that much more. We had Justin's awesome ribs, caeser salad and cantaloupe for dinner. And then around 8:30, we had ice cream. The fact that the ice cream man comes by our house every day is just fabulous. If you haven't had German ice cream, you need to.
Today we went to go see Lichtenburg Castle. It's literally 5 minutes from our house. We brought Bev with us and had a great time. It didn't take that long to walk through the castle but it was beautiful. I posted pictures on Facebook. There is a little restaurant in the castle so we decided to eat there for lunch. It was good. The dessert was my favorite part. I had a scoop of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream with fruit, whipped cream and almonds. It was good stuff. After we got home, Kyan and I went to Bev's so he could play in the pool while Kenna napped. It was great until about after an hour. Rain clouds started rolling in. It has been beautiful all week an then it started raining. No fun. Chase was able to come over when Kenna woke up so we all got to eat supper together. Fun times.
Well, that's all I can remember from the past two weeks. Hopefully, I'll get better at updating weekly rather than every other week. Have a great week. Love to all.
